The burger is overall delicious, especially the bum( love the slightly crispy texture)And the fried chicken is pretty good, a bit different from normal Japan style.However the sofa is quite old and difficult to sit, which I have to minus 1 star

Best burger I have had in a while. They do it right here. No matter what burger you order you can't go wrong.

The restaurant was busy and yet we were still seated and got our food in a very reasonable time! The burger was amazing and the french fries are just as good! We will definitely be back.

Excellent arrive. Fish burger was on point. Yummy and crispy. Generous amount of sauce and melty gooey cheese. Also a different green which added a nice different freshness. Taco rice was ok, better taco rice on the island. Stick to the burgers.

Great experience! One of the best burgers in the world. The staff is friendly and helpful with the language barrier if you don't speak Japanese. The setting is so nice, great place to eat. Recommend every time!

I had the BLTE and their menu very appropriately calls it a bacon burger. It was a wonderful slab of half inch or more thick bacon with lettuce, tomatoes, and a little bit of egg salad. If I had to make a criticism, I'm not a fan of burgers stacked really high, they usually get messy and this one did. But it was so delicious that it's totally worth the mess. Looking forward to trying more of their menu if I can make it out again.

Definitely the best restaurant we visited while in Okinawa. One of the best burgers I’ve had during my 6 years in Japan, and a surprisingly affordable price tag. Be prepared to wait upwards of 30 minutes, but rest assured, the wait will be worth it.

This is my favorite place on Okiawa to get a hamburger. Different toppings but this is my go too place. There is always a wait, tourist from everywhere will be here. Be oatient because it is worth the wait.

I read the rave reviews so I expected it to be great. The burgers were enormous and very filling, but it was WAY too salty for us. My kid wouldn't touch it, and considering the fact that he is such a pizza and burger lover, there must be something terribly wrong.It is a nice little shop though. There was a beach behind the shop, and also its own parking lot which is very convenient.

Came here for dinner and grabbed one of the last open tables. The food came quickly and our group thoroughly enjoyed the sesame seed toasted buns on the burgers. While I prefer chicken breast sandwiches to the blended chicken patties my teriyaki chicken burger was very tasty. The rest of our group got double burger patty sandwiches and struggled eating the large sandwich without making a mess. Very fun spot to come relax and have a meal with family and friends.

I mean, it is a burger. Granted, I ordered a fish burger, and beef burgers are very different. I heard the burgers here are quite good, however, pescatarian, so the experience will not be the same. Still, the burger was not memorable, and the restaurant does not take card, which lowers its value for me. I did appreciate the staff and the environment was welcoming.

Closes 7pm so don't expect much food left if you come for dinner after 5pm, we arrived approx. 530pm and they had run out of burger buns (for a burger joint), so we got the TacoRice & crispy chicken. The people who were there before us and had burgers looked & smelled delicious- so get there early & enjoy.

Worth the wait, this oceanside restaurant's uniqueness in flavor makes it a must visit. I for one will be back.

If you're in the area, a fantastic place to go. Yes, the place gets busy real quick, but that just proves how great the food is.

For now it is the best burger's I have eaten in Okinawa. The place is super small and very busy visited by many tourists and locals too. the parking is in front the only thing is that it is a bit dangerous because you have to cross the street and it is a very busy road. The staff is very friendly and attentive but sometimes they don't understand well and there may be error in the order, the food is delicious and I was very surprised how fast the food arrives. only accept yens. super recommended place.

Captain Kangaroo has the best burgers I have ever had in Japan. It was even better than a lot of burgers I've had in America.There might be a wait but it will be worth it.

Not a thing to complain about. Atmosphere is wonderful, it feels just like a beach side shack, probably because IT IS a beach side shack. Burger (I had the Sparky burger) was outstanding and flavorful! Only markdown I have to give is for the fries, they weren't anything special. You wouldn't be wrong to say it's one of the best burgers on Okinawa.

The burger was good, the burger they are famous for. I was not impressed with the appearance, in side and out. The staff and service was nice.

Absolutely the best hamburgers (many to choose from) and atmosphere in Okinawa. Watch carefully for the turn off to the restaurant - it comes out of nowhere. Also note that you can park across the street.

I enjoyed Captain Kangaroo but I didn't love it. The fries were good but basic. They were fresh but not seasoned. However, there are seasonings at the table (salt, pepper, garlic, red peppers). I got the 2x patty Bacon Burger. Was really thick, juice, cheesy, and has this delicious sauce on it that tasted just like the sauce from a big mac. Again, it had the qualities of a champion burger BUT the bacon on the burger was just a little too crispy (close to burnt) and just threw off the flavoring some. Just a slight downfall for me but nevertheless, Captain Kangaroo would be somewhere I would go again or recommend to others who are looking for a chill atmosphere and a good burger. But if you decide to go, be wary of the parking in the back (super small and not easy to get out of if its filled) and they do get a lot of service so it might be packed but no worries, theres a food truck out front that does their to go meals so you won't have to wait in line inside.

This might very well be my favorite place to get a burger in Japan. YUM! There's a nice variety and options to adjust your burger. Unfortunately, their fries could use a little bit of work. The burger is good enough though for me to forgo the bad fries. If you're a big french fry fan and worried you'll be let down, maybe just order an extra patty on your burger to fill you up a bit more.

Excellent burgers with decent portion. Tried the sparky and teriyaki burger. Both were great. Very impressed with the teriyaki burger as they manage to make the patty so much more tender than a typical chicken burger.

Have seen some long long ques here so there seems to be a wait time.The menu is in english as well and they do take outs.very pleasantly surprised they were able to change up for meat pattie from beef to chicken while keeping everything else in the burger the same.It was good burgers but unfortunately wasnt life changing hence the 4 stars.

I went to have a early lunch with my friends two months ago and I still remember these amazing hamburgers! Someone recommend us this place and the recommendation was totally true. You can choose between several options and all of them have french fries ( as you can see in this picture).The waitress were super nice and the place seem well know by locals ! I'd go again without doubt !

The food was incredible, and reasonably priced. the atmosphere was great. You could tell that the people in line were all huge fans. However, that was the big issue... The line. We went around 2 Pm and there was an hour long wait. And another 20 after the food (again was great!). It had a true hole in the wall/mom and pop feel to it as we actually sat on a couch and ate from a coffee table. The view of the beach is minutes away. There is a parking lot that was packed full and extra parking. If those dont look full, you HAVE to stop here. But weigh your time accordingly.

Outstanding burgers. Sat at the counter and got to watch the magic happen. Creating burgers here is an art which they have perfected. Flavors are perfectly balanced and delicious, not to much, not to little. This place is a gem, you must stop in. Sometimes there is a wait, so if you arrive early, expect to wait a little. Well worth it.

Pretty good burgers and fries. You gotta get there like 30 minutes before they open or you will have to wait like 45 minutes to an hour to get seated (even on weekdays). It's a relaxed atmosphere with couch and table seating but it's very limited, hence the long waits. Service is fast though, and they will take your order while you wait to cut down on the once you're seated. Definitely go here if you're in the area though.

Good but not worth the hype and queueing

Nice little area to sit, popular, got to go and took ~10min, and ate late. It was still an amazing burger, very large with great flavor. Servers were kind and patient as well.

All of our burger's were delicious. Some of the best I've ever had.
